Meet Mission Animal Hospital Doctors

Dr. Zach Zeisse is excited to be a part of the mission animal hospital oceanside team! Dr. Zeisse is a San Diego native and grew up in a family surrounded by pets. He received his under graduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbra in 1994. He then spent a year at the UC Davis medical school in the cardiology department where he participated in research on the effects of gastrointestinal disease on cardiac function. He was accepted into the veterinary program at the University of Illinois in 1995 and was an active member in the veterinary fraternal organization.

He enjoyed spending his free time volunteering in the wildlife clinic caring for injured and orphaned wildlife. Dr. Zeisse received his doctor of veterinary medicine degree in 1999. After graduation he moved back to the San Diego area. Dr. Zeisse currently lives in Oceanside with his wife Jenninfer and three children, Emily, Alex, and Katie. He owns a dog, a cat,, a green-cheeked conure, and a fresh water fish tank.
